Rusty Frank, Lindy by the Heart, and Northrop Grumman invite you to
JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST USO FUNDRAISER
FRIDAY, JUNE 1ST
DRESS VINTAGE USO
Lindy Hoppers have big hearts, and over the years our own community has done many fundraisers to aid those suffering individually ors as a result of natural and human-made disasters.
Once again, we answer the call. When our swing dance friends over at Northrop Grumman brought up the idea of a USO fundraiser, our Lindy by the Heart volunteer team jumped on board and turned it into this upcoming big event at Rusty's.
There's so much in store, I'll just try to list it below. So keep on scrolling!
BRING EXTRA $$ FOR THE USO
Needless to say, bring your checkbook and/or extra cash. We'll have loads of ways for you to spend your money towards the USO.
"WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND
BUT WANT TO SEND IN A DONATION?"
You can give me your donation in class, or mail it to me
(check payable "USO"):
225 Whiting Street
El Segundo, CA 90245
Or you can donate directly on the USO website. If you would, let us know your donation, so we can get a final tally.
LINDY BY THE SEA STUDENT TELLS US HOW MUCH THE USO MEANT TO HIM WHEN HE WAS SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN
Last night in class, one of our Lindy by the Sea students, Brian Bailey, talked to the class about how much the USO meant to him when he was so far away from home in Afghanisan. I asked if he would tell us again tonight at the dance.
It really brought our fundraiser home...
Thank you in advance for your generosity!

ABOUT THE USO
Throughout our country’s history, Americans have felt profound appreciation and gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of our troops and their families. The USO provides a tangible way for all of us to say thank you, as it has for 70 years.
Thanks to your generosity, the USO fulfills its mission of lifting the spirits of America’s troops and their families. Through the USO, you touch their lives through an extensive range of programs at more than 160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries, and at hundreds of entertainment events each year. Thousands of USO volunteers do everything possible to provide a home away from home for our troops and to keep them connected to the families they left behind.
The USO makes sure your help goes to those who need it the most: troops serving in combat, their families, our wounded warriors and their families, and families of the fallen.
As a nonprofit, non-political organization, the USO is now, and always will be, about our troops. Wherever and whenever they go, the USO will be there, until every one comes home.
