RUSTY & HER RHYTHM PALS

Rusty's & Her Rhythm Pals, Ron Campbell and Ted Stanley, are favorites throughout the Southern California swing scene for their knowledge, enthusiasm, styling, and social-dancing philosphy.

These dance teachers bring loads of fun to all of their classes, making the learning process an utter joy.

You can read all about Rusty Frank HERE, and about Ted & Ron below.

RON CAMPBELL

Ron Campbell started swing dancing with his wife, Robin, in February 1996. After a brief introduction to swing through a city Ballroom course (preparing for the "first dance" at their wedding later that year), Ron was hooked. He had found a means of expression for his joy for the music of 20s, 30s & 40s. Ron actually had to talk Robin into taking their first swing dance lessons. They never looked back.

Over the years, Ron has studied many forms and styles of swing dancing; East Coast, Lindy Hop (Savoy & Smooth), Balboa & Collegiate Shag to name a few.

Ron was one of the founding members of the Swing Shift Rhythm Club that performs regularly for local hospitals and institutions.

Ron was a founding member of the Hollywood Hornets, 3-time Team Division National Jitterbug Champions (2002, 2004, 2005). He and Robin also took 1st Place in the Preliminary Round of the 2002 Great Southwest Club Swing-Off at the Rhythm Club.

Ron and Rusty developed the Track and Master Track curriculums in place at Lindy by the Sea since 2005, and they co-produced the Track 6-DVD Series.

Ron began teaching Tuesday night Lindy By The Sea classes with Rusty on January 6th 2003.

TED STANLEY

Ted began dancing in 2001 as a freshman at USC, under the tutelage of the one and only Rusty Frank! His love of dancing and talent for performance earned him a spot on the Swing Shift Fliers, Rusty's dance team, in 2004.

Ted's passion for making audiences smile brought him to the auditions for the One2Swing Jitterbugs. The team competed in the National Jitterbug Championships and was invited to perform at Lindyfest in 2011.

Ted met the love of his life, Lauren, on the dance floor in 2008. They fell in love at Rusty's Rhythm Club, he proposed at Lindy Groove, and the two were wed in 2012 at the Women's Club of Orange, former venue of Strutters' Ball. Together they have danced across America and Europe.

Ted has been a guest instructor at Lindy Groove many times, and was super-duper excited to become one of Rusty's Rhythm Pals in July 2014.
