$50 BILL FIND ON TO A WORTHY CAUSE

This week at Rusty's we had a good samaritan turn in a $50 bill he found on the floor. I announced the find and promised that if no one claimed the bill I would donate it to the child flood victims of Pakistan.

No one claimed the bill, so I sent on the donation to an organization I have been contributing to for many years - PlanUSA, which focuses on children in need.

See you on the dance floor!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
"What's the Ebell of Los Angeles?"?"

The Ebell of Los Angeles is a women's social club housed in a historic 75,000 square foot facility of breathtaking Italian Renaissance design. Our event will be held in the Ballroom, Art Salon, and Lounge, and beautiful garden courtyard.

The Ebell of Los Angeles opened its doors 1927 by the Ebell of Los Angeles Women's Club, which was formed in Los Angeles in 1894. The Ebell was the site of aviator Amelia Earhart's last public appearance before attempting the 1937 around-the-world flight during which she disappeared, and the place where Judy Garland was discovered while performing as Baby Frances Gumm in the 1930s.

The Ebell has been designated as a historic structure at the local, state and national levels, including the following recognition:

* The Ebell was declared a Los Angeles Cultural Historic Monument in 1982.
* It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
* It has also been designated an Official American Treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

LOST YOUR JOB? TOOK A PAY CUT?
DON'T BE A STRANGER!
WE'LL WORK SOMETHING OUT FOR YOU

Every now and again, people just disappear from our scene who have been regular dancers. I wonder why. Did they get married, did they move, or did they suffer some financial hit.

If it's economics, please know that you are always welcome. Don't stay away. We can work something out! Here's some options:

~ I am happy to work out trades... you could sit at the door for a bit at the Rhythm Club in exchange for the dance that night.

~ Find me at the Rhythm Club, and just pay what you can.

~ I'll give you some Rhythm Club passes until this era blows over for you.

~ And the same thing goes for all Lindy By The Sea classes!

I know that dancing really helps in hard times. So don't be a stranger! We'll work it out to meet your needs.
