The years fly by, and, yes, it's true, we've now been at our current location for five years! We're gonna celebrate on May 31st with a 1950's themed nite (details above). So hold that date, and make sure to make it a nite to remember!
In last week's email I asked how many of you remember the original site of our Wednesday dances back in 1998, and, yes, the answer was Pointe 705 in Hermosa Beach. We began all those years ago in May '98. That's a lot of Wednesdays! I think Glenn Parkison probably has the highest records of Wednesdays -- any challengers?

ICE CREAM SOCIAL A HIT
After a wonderful day at Lindy By The Sea (aerials workshop & classes), many of us trotted on over to our local Coldstone Creamery for our very first Ice Cream Social. Owners, Tracey & Rick, TREATED everyone to ice cream, and we "danced for our supper" (dessert). It was a great chance for Sunday people to meet Tuesday people from Lindy by the Sea. Here's some photos taken by Yves and Michelle -- ooh, la la.
Special thanks to Rick (pictured above left) and Tracey (in group pic, second row far left) for hosting all of us. We had a great time!

Rusty and Ron now have a series for those who want to take their dancing to the next level. The course, entitled "The Master Track - It's All About You" is limited to twelve students. The April-May series is fully booked, but we are already taking reservations for June-July.
The eight-week course focuses on your own dancing. Each week, Rusty and Ron will be working with each of the students individually and as a group in a series of exercises and challenges. The students will be video taped each week, the tapes will be studied as a group (in Lindy By The Sea's traditional upbeat, encouraging, and friendly environment) to examine individual areas of goals and progress. At the end of the eight week course, each student is presented with a dvd of their own dancing to track improvement and continue with on-going skills.
This course will start up every eight weeks. The total cost for all eight classes, and the dvd is $100/per student, and includes a personal dvd of your work throughout the course. What a value!

50's THEME PARTY MAY 31ST -- DRESS UP!
Yes, it is our 5-year anniversary at the Rhythm Club, and we're gonna be celebrating with a 5-5-5 party (5th year, in the 5th month, with a '50's theme). So come along and help us party and dance. We'll have cake and a "Twist" contest! (Start practicing now!).
