RHYTHM CLUB HOLIDAY PARTY TOMORROW NITE!
Wednesday, December 21, 2005 --
COME AND JOIN THE FUN!
(our last dance of 2005)
I'm really looking forward to our big Holiday Party tomorrow nite, Wednesday 12/21, at the Rhythm Club. We've got The Fabulous Esquires, MC Maxwell DeMille, surprise performances, and YOU!
Particularly special to me is the fact that almost my entire family will be there from San Deigo (mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, and niece!). AND... my 9-year old niece, Sara, and I will be on hand to perform a short little number for you. Can't wait! (By the way, be there early, we'll be performing at 9:00pm)
I've billed the dance as "formal". Since so many of you have been asking what I mean by that, I'll simply say, "You can't dress up too much!". Men, go for it! Wear a tux or tails. Women, go for it! Wear floor length gowns, beaded dresses, cocktail dresses. Just have fun! (And, of course, make sure you can still dance).
However, if you don't have anything formal, don't worry, just dress up as you wish, but, please, no jeans or T-shirts. (Did you know, gents, that you would have been bodily escorted out of a dance in the 1930's and '40s if you didn't wear a jacket?)
Captain Fun and Akiko have spent happy hours baking cookies, and I'll be bringing along the candy canes. You bring you!
SEE YOU TOMORROW NITE!

FAYARD NICHOLAS UPDATE
Great news! Fayard was moved out of intensive care three days ago. He not only kissed his wife, Katherine, but waved twice. I'm on my way over there after this email goes out (my excuse for this abbreviate version). Please keep thinking and sending you best hopes and wishes -- he still has a long way to go.
Over $30,000 has been raised for this amazing couple by dancers from around the world. I got great news today, and that is that the Actors Fund will be putting in $500 a month for their living expenses. If you are interested in helping with this monthly fund (or any other help for this dance legend), go to my website here for details and on-going updates on his condition:
I want to personally thank everyone who has been helping me through this time, the volunteers who have been coming in my office and to class to help, and to each one of you who has helped me keep my "chin up".
See you on the dance floor -- TOMORROW NITE!
