A SWINGIN' SYMPOSIUM!
By popular demand, we are offering our Swingin' Symposium! This workshop is one of our most popular, and we have brought it across the country and around the world. It's a fantastic two-part package: the first half of the workshop is devoted to showing you fantastic film clips of swing music and dancers from 1928 up to the present. The second half is an amazing, hands-on class in understanding the structure of swing music and how to use that knowledge to help you dance more musically and "hit the breaks" in the music. All in all, a great workshop for ALL dancers of ALL levels. If you only plan to get to one workshop from us, make it this one! For more details on this workshop, check out http://swingshiftontap.com/symposium.htm

RUSTY AND PETER PERFORM
WITH JAZZ STAR
BANU GIBSON AND HER NEW ORLEANS HOT JAZZ!
Rusty, Banu Gibson and Peter
Rusty and Tise backstage
Last Friday night, Rusty and Peter joined Jerry Jordan and Tise Chao (of Retroglide Dance Studio) onstage at Hauge Theatre in Glendora to perform with jazz musician and entertainer extraordinaire Banu Gibson for an evening of hard-swingin' jazz music and exciting swing and tap dancing! Banu Gibson is a critically acclaimed singer and musician who travels extensively, bringing the music of the late 1920's and 30's to fans everywhere. Rusty, Peter, Jerry and Tise were thrilled to perform onstage with this great entertainer and her INCREDIBLE band! They danced the "Jeep Jockey Jump" number from "Swingin' The Century", as well as a fun shag and lindy hop number to the song "Sing Me A Swing Song". Then Rusty and Peter came out and did a tap dance bit to the song "Doin' The New Low-Down". This was Peter's tap dance debut in front of a paying audience and Rusty says he did GREAT! (Although Peter found a few thousand things he wished he had done better...) The crowd loved the entire evening, and Rusty and Peter can't wait for their next chance to work with this fabulous band!!!
